  1. On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, the Office of the University Librarian received one (1) copy of a book from the Centre for Health and Development, University of Port Harcourt. The book is listed as follows:

  1. On Thursday, February 5, 2026, the Office of the University Librarian received one (1) copy of a book from Laure Betri-Equile, as listed below:
  2. Betri-Equile, L. (2025). AI for SDGs: A Technical and Illustrated Tour. France: EDP Sciences. – 1 copy.
  3. During the week, the Donald E. U. Ekong Library acquired daily issues of national newspapers to keep staff and students informed on local and global events. Titles received include: The Guardian, Daily Sun, Punch, Vanguard, Telegraph, Business Day, and This Day. These issues were made available at the Documents Unit of the Library.
  4. The Knowledge Commons (for undergraduate students) and the Research Commons (for postgraduate students) are accessible to students and researchers who wish to utilise the e-resources of the library. Similarly, the Elsevier Training Laboratory, located on the second floor of the library, offers internet access to all subscribed databases and is accessible to faculty members.
  5. The library has acquired MATLAB. The MaTrics Laboratory (MATLAB) is a proprietary multi-paradigm programming language and numeric computing environment that includes matrix-manipulating and plotting functions, implementing algorithms, creating users, and interacting with programmes written in other languages.
  6. The library has received updated content from the SpringerLink Database (https://www.springernature.com/gp). This data helps in the publication of robust and insightful research, supports the development of novel areas of knowledge, and makes information accessible globally.
  7. The library has received updated content on the JSTOR Database (https://www.jstor.org). This database provides registered researchers with informative materials that cut across every discipline, including the sciences, social sciences, arts, education, technology, law, and other research-related disciplines.
  8. The weekly statistics indicated a 30.66% increase in patronage, with the number of users rising from 2,339 in the previous week to 3056 in the current week.
  9. The library has received updated content on the AGORA Database (https://www.fao.org/agora/en/). This database furnishes registered researchers and staff with information materials, journals, audio-visual materials, and other collections centred on agriculture and its related disciplines.
  10. The library has received an update on its Scopus Database with new content (https://www.scopus.com/home.uri). This database provides registered faculty members and researchers with the most extensive abstracts and cited database on peer-reviewed literature and information materials across disciplines.
  11. The ELibraryUSA databases are available to users, and they provide remote access to JSTOR, ProQuest, PressReader, Libby App, BookFlix, and Kanopy. Users are encouraged to register at http://bit.lyregister4amspaces.
  12. The American Corner recorded four hundred and twelve (412) users in the week under review.
